Unlike the last couple of months, November has indeed been a month of discovery for me. From skincare to make up to candles, I've added a few items to my holy grail list this month, and here they are...
Bioderma
Now, I did a blog post about this when I bought it, so I won't go into too much detail, but I'm sure I can still hear the echoes of the question "what rock has she been living under?". I know. But in the blog post I did explain briefly why I assumed I wouldn't be able to use this product. Oh but I can. And have I used it well. Its amazing for a first step cleanser, for cleaning up little mistakes with eyeliner, taking off eye make up (although I did find that it struggled with removing heavy gel eyeliner). The list is endless. I'm in love! I only have two little niggles with this. Number one, its hideously expensive in Australia - $20 just for the tiny travel size. Also, you can't get the lid off the travel size to refill it - or I couldn't anyway. Do let me know if I'm missing the obvious.
Indeed Labs' Hydraluron
As with Bioderma, I have a post about this, but after having used it for a couple more weeks, I'm loving it even more. My skin feels nice and plump (?) and once I've applied this, and my moisturiser, I have to stop myself from touching my face constantly. My skin is even looking a bit different too. I would say its looking healthier that it has looked in a long time, but that could also be a combination of drinking a tonne of water, and upping my fruit and veg intake.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick no. 16
An old favourite of mine, but one that has hardly left my lips this month. Its a lovely peachy-pink, can be worn with a coppery-brown smokey eye, or just on its own with lashings of mascara. Its hydrating but really stays put, and I'll be going straight out to buy another one when this runs out. Which will be fairly soon, if I carry on the way I'm going!
Soap and Glory Hand Food
Has this been in a favourites post before? I'd be surprised if it hasn't. Its been taking pride of place on my bedside table for the last two months or so, and I've been applying it religiously every night before I go to bed. It smells AMAZING, sinks in quickly, and my hands are so ridiculously soft in the morning that I find myself in the same situation as with the Hydraluron. I just keep rubbing my hands together to feel just how soft they are!
Essie Chinchilly
Essie Chinchilly
I didn't purchase this in November, but I certainly came to appreciate its glory this month. Its a beautiful purple-toned greige, applies well in two coats, lasts a good four to five days without chipping (with Seche Vite on top), and looks uber chic.
Clinique Superbalanced foundation
I don't know if I'm necessarily allowed to call this a monthly favourite. I had about three uses left in the bottle, and, during a clear-out of my make up stash, I hauled it out to use up the rest of it to make way for something else. Except I've fallen in love with it all over again, and in all likelihood I'll be repurchasing it again very soon. I forget why I love it each time, but it just leaves the most perfect dewy glow, has good coverage despite only claiming to be sheer to medium, stays put, and is a good colour for me at the moment.
Country Road Fig candle
I've had my eye on Diptyque Figuier for some time now. While the Diptyque price point sits at a whopping $100 here in Australia, a visit home to the UK means I'll get my hands on one for a little bit less. In the absense of Figuier, I scouted out Country Road's alternative. Its not anywhere near as strongly scented as Diptyque's offering, but it does impart a lovely subtle figgy scent in the room. Will I buy it again? Probably not, but I've had it burning every day since I bought it at the start of the month - even that day when it was 36 degrees.
Watch out for the next favourites post - it'll be a big'un. The best beauty products of 2013. Watch this space!
Footnote: apologies for the lack of photo on this one - I'll do better next time promise!
