I must warn you in advance...I'm going to rave about this product.
This concealer has been big on the beauty circuit for some time now, and I've been using it for around six months, give or take. Prior to this, I was a disciple of the M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer. In my opinion, things just didn't get any better than that product. And then I met this one. Studio Finish was swiftly cast aside, to make way for my shiny new friend.
When I first bought this, it only came in four shades, and as far as I know, this is still the case. I use shade number 1 'Fair', and it is a perfect match for me. I swore off these 'liquid' concealers in my mid-teens, because I was convinced that the only concealer thick enough to cover any decent size blemish was a stick concealer.
When I heard the hype surrounding the Collection concealer, I was quick to stash it in the its-liquid-so-it-will-be-useless category, but how very wrong I was! I use this concealer both on blemishes and under my eyes. To start with, I have quite dark circles under my eyes, and even the Studio Finish struggled to disguise them at times. The Collection concealer covers them fully, without looking cakey or creasing under my eyes. It also covers blemishes extremely well (even the really nasty reddish-purple ones), and I find that if I powder over the top, it will last all day - as the name 'Lasting Perfection' would suggest.
Excuse my hand in the photo, it just wouldn't stay still! |
The only issue with this lovely little product is that it is only available in the UK. Being from the UK but living in Australia, I either stock up on various products whenever I visit, or I have things sent to me. With the Collection concealer however, I buy it on eBay. The retail price is AU$6.91 (current exchange rate), and I think I pay about AU$10 on eBay, plus postage, which takes away from the cheapness ever so slightly, but will never make me stop hesitate about buying it. I think I would buy it even if it cost $50!
If you live in the UK and haven't tried this, go now! RUN to Boots and buy it! If you're not in the UK, RUN to your computer and buy it on eBay! Trust me, you won't regret it!
