Mini Nail Polish Haul

I call this a haul but that might be lying a little bit. I bought two new nail polishes while I was browsing in the shops this morning. While many would argue that I have far too many nail polishes (and they might be right), whenever I buy a new one, I always try to go for a shade that I don't already own. I just don't see the point in buying several nail polishes in the same shade of red, unless you're not happy with the ones you already own and you're on the hunt for something better.

The shades I purchased were from Bourjois and Covergirl respectively. If you live in Australia or the US, you will recognise Covergirl, but if you live in the UK, it is MaxFactor. The strange thing is, in Australia, we have both Covergirl and MaxFactor. But anyway, I digress.

The collection from which I chose the first shade was Bourjois' 150 year anniversary collection. I believe the shade is called 'Soir de Paris', and represents the year 1928. It is a lovely navy blue colour, and while I haven't worn it yet, I did test it out on one nail, and it was completely opaque in one coat - amazing!

The second nail polish I chose is from the Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant line. It doesn't seem to have a name but the number '290' is on the label on the back of the bottle so I'm assuming this is the colour. It is a striking turquoise-y kind of colour, and much unlike anything else I own, so I'll be interested to see whether or not I can pluck up the courage to wear this.

Both products were inexpensive, and I chose them based on their unique colours. I am excited to try them, and full product reviews for both are forthcoming, once I've tried and tested them.
