When it comes to lipsticks, I tend to gravitate towards the same shades. Whenever I buy M.A.C lipsticks, I try to go for something a bit different. My four favourite shades are Impassioned, Chatterbox, Rebel and Angel. While they're all shades of pink, at least they're a bit different.
Impassioned is a gorgeous hot pink shade. I tend to apply this to my lips, and then blend it in further with my finger. I find that this makes the colour last much longer. When I wear Impassioned, I go quite simple with the rest of my make up - a bit of Naked Lunch eyeshadow on the lids and tonnes of mascara is all I need for a pretty and polished look.
Next up is Chatterbox, which is a softer shade of pink. This is a good all-rounder - sometimes I wear it with black eyeliner, and sometimes I wear it with a soft smokey brown eye. The only problem I have with this one is that it isn't as long-lasting as Impassioned.
Our third entry is Rebel. In the tube, this looks like the scariest lipstick in the world, but trust me, its not. It did take me a long time to pluck up the courage to buy this one, as in the tube it looks like a dark, almost black shade of purple. The way I apply it is similar to the way I apply Impassioned. I apply a very small amount and blend it in well, and it becomes the prettiest dark reddish-magenta shade. For a polished look, I pair it with flawless foundation (thanks, Rimmel Match Perfection!), and a copious amount of mascara.
Finally, we have Angel, which is a pale shade of pink. This one is great to wear with a dark smokey eye - I usually wear this with M.A.C's 'Club' eyeshadow. In the picture below it looks like it has a slight brown undertone, which it may well do, but in reality in the tube it looks a lot more pink.
