Product Review: Nature's Extracts Hand and Nail Creams

I quite like these. I received an email a couple of weeks ago informing me that Marks and Spencer were doing free shipping again to Australia from the UK. I often place an order when they have this offer on, because normally they charge fifteen pounds for shipping to Australia which is just obscene. This time, I decided to peruse the beauty section, and stumbled upon a brand called Nature's Extracts. Everything was between one and three pounds, so I thought I would pick up a couple of things to share with you here.

The stand out items for me were definitely the hand creams. I ordered four 'scents': Lemon Verbena, Coconut, Fig and Orange Oil and Peach and Almond. In addition to free shipping, they were also having a 'buy one get one half price' on all beauty items, meaning these hand creams were something crazy like 75p each.

My favourite by far is Fig and Orange Oil, which is odd because usually I would never go for a scent that has anything to do with fruit. I'm usually strictly a coconut, cocoa butter, shea butter etc sort of girl. When it comes to body lotions/creams, fruity scents are a big no-no, but this one isn't really all that fruity. What it is, though, is absolutely delicious. I can't even describe what it smells like, but I will tell you right now that it doesn't smell like figs or oranges. Its sort of a bit coconutty, and a bit something that I can't quite put my finger on. I know the whole point of a review is for me to accurately convey what I'm trying to describe, but I'm afraid with this one that will have to do!

The other scents I'm not so keen on, although the Coconut one is quite nice. The Lemon Verbena is too sharp for me, and not really what I want my hands to smell like, and the Peach and Almond is too sickly sweet. This one is exactly what I meant when I said I don't normally go for fruity scents. Please don't ask why I bought it even though I don't like those scents!

The packaging is potentially a bit dodgy - I think the lid flips quite easily so I've been very careful about putting it in my hand bag, but size-wise, its a perfect handbag size.

In terms of the products working well, they really really do. You only need a very small amount, and once you've rubbed it into your hands, you need to just let them 'dry' for about thirty seconds, and then its as if you've got nothing on at all. No stickiness, greasiness or tackiness - its amazing! They also leave my hands incredibly soft while I'm wearing it, although I'm not entirely convinced of the long-term benefits, they're certainly doing the job for now. If you have access to a Marks and Spencer, I would highly recommend trying out a few of the Nature's Extracts products, as I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
