When this was first released, I trotted off to the shops and bought four colours immediately. They were released in Australia a little after the UK and the US, and I had heard many good things about them.
They didn't fail to live up to the expectation either. I purchased the shades 'Smitten', 'Romantic', 'Honey' and 'Lovesick', and I quickly fell in love with 'Smitten' and 'Romantic', while the other two were cast to the back of my make up drawer.
When it comes to darker lipsticks, particularly reds, I ALWAYS end up with lipstick on my teeth. Always. No matter what i do to try and prevent it, it happens, so when I tried these products and found that they didn't get on my teeth (no matter how hard I tried), I knew I was on to a winner. 'Romantic' is now the only red lipstick I wear, as its foolproof. But enough about that one. We're here to talk about 'Smitten'. And thats exactly what I am - smitten!
I loved this when I first bought it, but then, for reasons unknown, it was cast aside, in favour of newer products I had bought. Then, earlier in the week, I pulled it out again, and I've worn it every single day since. I've worn it during the day, I've worn it to work, and I wore it out on a girl's night. I can't get enough of it! I would describe 'Smitten' as a darker fuchsia pink shade. I'm very pale, and I think it suits my skin tone well, but I also think it would look great on a darker skin tone. As I said previously, this thing does not budge once its on, so I never have to worry about it being all over my teeth.
I love that it is a twist up, so it doesnt have to be sharpened, and you get quite a lot of product, so even though I've been wearing this almost 24/7, I don't see it running out any time soon. When it does though, I will be repurchasing it immediately.
This product gets another very special title - Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten gets the if-it-ever-got-discontinued-life-would-never-be-the-same award.
