First Impressions: Rimmel Funtime Fuchsia

I'm a sucker for pink lipstick. I'll just say that right now. I just can't help myself. While I think I've said before that I don't think I own any pink lipsticks that are the same shade, I certainly own a fair few.

What you see here is the latest addition to my pink lippy arsenal. As with quite a few products I buy, this one came on recommendation from Estee AKA Essie Button. For starters, I would never have chosen this lipstick myself, as aside from the Kate Moss range, I've never been a huge fan of Rimmel lipsticks. I've had a couple from the Lasting Finish range and I hated them, I thought they were chunky, applied unevenly, and were generally just not very nice. Aside from this, in the bullet, this lipstick looks nothing like what it looks like on the lips. In the bullet, and from what you can see in the photo, its like a crimson-y almost plummy colour - shades that I normally steer clear of. But when applied, it is the most vibrant fuchsia pink! Who would have thought it?! The formula is nice too, as it is from the Moisture Renew range, and it does what it says on the packet. Its nice and moisturising, and although, like with most moisturising lipsticks, this means you do forgo longevity, for a colour as nice as this, and a product that feels so nice to wear, I'm willing to give it a top up here and there.

What are your thoughts on Rimmel lipsticks?

x
