New holy grail product alert! I bought this ages ago, used it once, didn't like it, and stashed it away in my make up drawer. For some reason, a few days ago I pulled it out and gave it another go. I had very clearly been using it wrong the first time, because I think this is one of my favourite eye shadows now.
The first thing I thought when I actually figured out how to use it (I scribble a bit onto the centre of my eyelid and then use my finger to blend it out to almost nothing), was that this does for me exactly what I think Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze does for everyone who worships that. A warm bronzy-brown wash of colour, that is super easy to apply and looks effortless. I'm sure you'll remember the post I did about the Colour Tattoo, but if you don't, I said I hated it. I found it hard to work with, it went on patchy on my lids, and the colour was just a bit off for me. This however, is lovely! So easy to use, a lovely colour and leaves a lovely, long-lasting finish.
These aren't available in Australia yet, but I bought mine from asos.com. It only cost around $5 which is ridiculously cheap given how much I love it. I also have another shade called Bulletproof Beige, which I also quite like, but the rest of the five shades are...well...revolting! There's a garish purple, an electric blue and a plain black. The black could be good as a cream base for black eyeshadow. I don't know about you, but I can't remember the last time I wore a solid black shadow on my lids. Rimmel keep making such lovely products, however I think they need to work on their colour range a bit and make them a little bit more wearable.
