July Favourites!

First of all, let me apologise for my incredibly late July favourites! By the time I get this post up it will almost be time for my August favourites, but I am determined! Its been a busy start to the month of August, but I've still managed to discover a couple of favourites over the last month that are serving me well even now. Its an even mix of make up and skin care this month, with an incorporation of new and old items, but I don't think I've loved a bunch of products more than I have this month. Lets get started shall we?

1. Clinique 7 Day Scrub
I don't know if I've ever raved about this one enough, but I definitely rediscovered it this month. My skin has felt a bit...boring and flat this month, and I find that using this is the best way to liven it up a bit. I don't need to use it every day, but its gentle enough that I could if I wanted to. I tend to use this about three to four times a week, in the evenings. Non-drying, doesn't strip my skin but actually feels like it makes a difference.

2. Marks and Spencer Lipstick in Bright Coral
This is an old favourite of mine. I bought it over a year ago, wore it a couple of times and then cast it to the back of my make up drawer, never to be seen again. Well, during my recent 'Week in Lipsticks', I pulled it out again, and I can't quite see why I ever stopped wearing it in the first place. I own a tonne of red lipsticks, but none really in this colour. Its a lovely orangey-red, but one that suits my extremely pale skin tone. I've been paring this with the next item on my list for a ridiculously quick, simple but polished every day look.

3. Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in Bad Girl Bronze
Again, you can refer to my previous blog post about this, where a full rave can be perused, but I think I used this eyeshadow almost every single day this month. Super simple, just scribble it on, blend with your finger and you're ready to go with a simple brown smokey eye.

4. Maybelline The Falsies Mascara
*Angels singing* That's all I can say. The angels got together and collaborated on the best mascara ever to fall from heaven. It. Is. Amazing. A full rave will be with you momentarily.

5. Soap and Glory Hand Food
Need I say more? Non-sticky, non-greasy, works like nothing else. An absolute life saver this month.

6. Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Moisturiser
This is a new purchase for me, after having used the Clinique Turnaround Overnight for approximately the last year. I thought that the Turnaround Overnight was working perfectly for me, until I was given a sample of Moisture Surge Intense when I purchased something else from Clinique in late June. About a week later, I had cast aside my rather expensive (!) moisturiser that I was using, in favour of the new kid on the block. My skin has been so much healthier and much more hydrated, without any pesky dry patches since making the switch, and its $30 cheaper to boot. Winner!
