I've been on the look out for a new eye make up remover for some time now. Since I finished my travel size bottle of Clinique Take the Day Off, I haven't really had anything to use, and have been using my cleanser, which I don't like because it seems to get in my eyes quite easily. I don't mind the Clinique one, but at $38, its not exactly cheap, and I went through the smaller size at a rate of knots, which didn't bode well for the bigger size.
Now again, we have the issue here of fragrance. The last place I want to be putting anything artificially fragranced is around my eyes, so I did a bit of research, and came across the Elizabeth Arden All Gone Eye and Lip Make Up Remover. Now, this isn't strictly fragrance free, but I couldn't see anything about fragrance on the packaging, and I've been using it for about a fortnight now, with excellent results.
Its one of those oily-type ones, and as you can see from the photos, before you shake it up it sort of sits on two layers, then mixes together to create a make up remover that packs a punch. Not even the most stubborn of gel liners is impervious to this bad boy, and it removes highly pigmented lip products too, even if they've stained my lips.
Whats more, this only cost me $4.50 at Priceline! Granted, the original price was $19.99, it was on sale for $15.99, and then I had a voucher on top of that. Even at $19.99, thats almost half the price of the Clinique offering, so I'm not complaining about that!
All in all, I'm impressed with Elizabeth Arden's offering, and might be tempted to try a few other things from their skin care range.
